Paradise Valley Track and Field delivered a strong showing at the 2026 CAC Indoor Invitational, highlighted by five personal records, five top-10 marks in program history, and two national qualifying performances.
Sophomore Ava Wilson and Freshman Kate McKenzie led the way on the track, each earning national qualifying marks in the 60m dash. McKenzie's performance placed her second all-time in PVCC indoor history, while Wilson continued her standout weekend with a historic mark in the 200m.
PVCC athletes made their mark across the record books, earning multiple top-10 indoor performances in school history. On the women's side, McKenzie (60m), Sara Gardner (60m hurdles), and Wilson (200m) all moved into the program's all-time top four. The men followed suit with Luke Mollineaux (60m hurdles) and Nathan Williams (200m) each earning top-10 historical marks.
The weekend also featured several personal best performances, including PRs from Gardner and Mollineaux in the hurdles, McKenzie in the 60m, Wilson in the 200m, and Julian Campos in the weight throw.
As of February 1, 2026, PVCC now boasts nine student-athletes ranked in the top 20 nationally, underscoring the program's growing presence on the national stage. The rankings are led by Mackenzie Anderson in the pole vault (6th), followed by McKenzie (400m), Mikaila Baran (pole vault), Nathan Nitschke (pole vault), and strong multi-event and relay performances from the Pumas.
With momentum building and multiple athletes trending upward, PVCC looks poised for continued success as the indoor season progresses.
