Cromer's Walk-off Creates Picture Perfect Ending In Pumas Victory Over Glendale
A walk-off walk led the Pumas past Glendale 11-10 on Tuesday. The game was tied at ten with the Pumas batting in the bottom of the seventh when Jordyn Cromer drew a walk, scoring one run.
Cromer led the Pumas to victory by driving in five runs. Cromer went 3-for-4 at the plate, driving in runs on a single in the third, a double in the sixth, and a walk in the seventh.
The Gauchos got on the board in the first inning with a homerun on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs.
The Pumas scored seven runs in the sixth inning. The big bats were led by Maegan Viramontes, Emily Viramontes, Jazlyn Romero, Leticia Lopez, Cromer, and Maegan Ford, who all drove in runs.
Romero was in the circle for the Pumas. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing 11 hits and ten runs while striking out one.
The Pumas had 12 hits in the game with Cromer, Maegan Viramontes, and Romero each putting up three hits to lead the team.

The Pumas had everything working on Tuesday, winning big over Glendale in the second game of the double header 11-3
The Pumas got on the board in the first inning when Jazlyn Romero singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
The Pumas pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Ashley Herman doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Emily Viramontes tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Thalia Higuera singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, and Jordyn Cromer singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
After the Gauchos scored one run in the top of the fifth, the Pumas answered with one of their own when Emily Viramontes doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Cromer got the start for the Pumas. The righty went six innings, allowing three runs on two hits and striking out five.
The Pumas racked up 15 hits in the game. Emily Viramontes, Cromer, Higuera, Maegan Viramontes, and Maegan Ford each collected multiple hits for the Pumas with Cromer and Emily Viramontes each collecting three hits to lead the team.
