The Pumas last hit the field for a home game on March 3, 2020. After 364 days with no softball competition, the Pumas were back on the field to start the 2021 season on Tuesday. The Pumas were excited to be back in action after an extended off-season.

South Mountain CC Runs Away With Early Lead in Victory
The Pumas fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 7-1 loss to South Mountain Community College on Tuesday. The Cougars took the lead on a single in the second inning.
The Pumas struggled to contain the high-powered offense of SMCC, giving up seven runs. Jordyn Cromer was on the rubber for PV, lasting seven innings, allowing ten hits and seven runs while striking out five.
Ashley Herman and Emily Viramontes each collected one hit to lead the Pumas.

Early Lead For South Mountain Seals Fate For The Pumas
The Pumas watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 10-1 loss to South Mountain on Tuesday. PV struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Cougars, giving up ten runs.
Jazlyn Romero was in the pitcher's circle for PV. Romero allowed eight hits and nine runs over three and a third innings. Jordyn Cromer threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Romero, Maegan Viramontes, Emily Viramontes, and Elysa Rochin each collected one hit to lead PV.
