Men's Soccer wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a convincing 7–3 home win over Justice University on Tuesday. The Pumas moved to 1-1-1 overall as they prepare for the start of ACCAC conference play.

From the opening whistle, the Pumas asserted control, netting four goals in the first 22 minutes. Sophomore Bryan Romero led the attack with a hat trick and two assists, while Jordon Culver added two goals of his own. Jack Trinh contributed a goal and an assist, and Fadlor Little capped the scoring in the 81st minute.

"We were able to play a full rotation of players, which is important heading into conference play," said Head Coach Christian DeVries. "Giving minutes to the whole squad helps strengthen the group as a whole. I was especially pleased with the combination play that led to several of our goals."

While PVCC's attack was clinical, posting 35 shots and 23 on target, the coaching staff acknowledged the need for continued focus on the defensive end. Justice scored three second-half goals, capitalizing on brief lapses in concentration.

"We need to tighten things up defensively as we prepare for Mesa on Saturday," DeVries added. "The conference schedule will demand more consistency and discipline."

Goalkeeper Ethan Wicht earned the win, splitting time with Alex Tomos and Jonathan Aguirre as the coaching staff utilized the team's full depth in goal.

The Pumas open ACCAC conference play Saturday, September 6, on the road against Mesa Community College at 8:00pm.
