Puma Baseball Head Coach Victor Solis has once again earned the opportunity to represent the United States on the international stage. USA Baseball announced today that Solis has been selected to lead its inaugural Baseball5 National Team, a historic appointment that places the longtime Puma coach at the forefront of a new era for the sport.

As manager of the first-ever USA Baseball Baseball5 National Team, Solis will guide Team USA into the 2026 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Baseball5 World Cup, scheduled for December 9-13 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The tournament will mark the United States' debut in international Baseball5 competition and serve as the first event for USA Baseball's newest national team.

The appointment is another milestone in a distinguished coaching career that has been defined by building successful programs from the ground up. Solis recently completed his 18th season as the Pumas' head coach, where he helped establish the college's inaugural baseball program in 2009.
