PUMAS WIN ON WALK-OFF GRAND SLAM
It came down to the wire on Tuesday as the Pumas grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 8-7, over Mesa. The Pumas were down 7-4 in the bottom of the ninth inning when Jude Almaraz hit a grand slam to left field to give the Pumas the win. 
 
The Pumas collected 14 hits and the Thunderbirds had 10 in the high-scoring affair.
 
Noah Coakes earned the win for the Pumas. The pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one and walking none. Mason Lizarraga pitched five innings in relief for the Pumas. The hurler allowed five hits and one run while, striking out five and walking one. Keith Eusebio stepped on the mound first for Paradise Valley. The hurler gave up two hits and five runs (four earned) over one inning, striking out none and walking three. 
 
The Pumas accumulated 14 hits in the game. Almaraz led the team with four runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The left fielder went 2-for-5 on the day. Coby Neville and Lucas Mitchell each collected three hits for the Pumas. Eusebio, Luke Foppe, and Jacob Lewis each collected multiple hits for the Pumas. The Pumas ran wild on the base paths, tallying three stolen bases for the game, Lewis stole two bases.
 
The Pumas travel to Mesa on Wednesday where they take on the Thunderbirds at 3:00pm.
